FAQ

Where is the SLIDE

The event is located on Richmond Hill, in Bournemouth town centre. Post code – BH1 1BZ. You can’t miss us!

Is there an age restriction?

Like most thrill rides, all sliders will need to be at least 6 years old. The inflatable tubes are for one slider only. Riding in pairs or on a lap will not be allowed. All children under 10 will need to be accompanied by an adult. If your child meets the restrictions, then it is up to the parents to give permission for them to slide on their own.

Can I participate if I have medical issues or am pregnant?

There is always a risk that you may be bumped into by another slider or fall off your tube, therefore we would recommend if you have a pre-existing medical condition to seek advise from your doctor before purchasing a ticket. Please do not purchase a ticket if you are pregnant or have heart, neck or back issues.

What should I bring?

Definitely bring as little as possible! We recommend a towel, suitable swimwear, your bank card, some footwear you are happy to get wet and sun cream (fingers crossed!)

Can family and friends watch me slide?

Absolutely! There will be designated spectator areas either side of the slide where they will have a great view of you sliding. The lower part of Richmond hill will have plenty of space for them to relax and enjoy a drink, some food or even an ice cream.

What should I wear?

Think water park attire. It should be something you are happy to get wet in, ideally family friendly swimwear. You will not be allowed to slide in anything with sharp items attached like zips and rivets. Don’t forget footwear you are happy to get wet, as you will be walking on the pavement to the top of the slide. You can carry this when sliding. There are very limited changing room facilities available on site, so we advise arriving ready to slide. There will be lockers.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Bad weather is only in the mind and rain only means better sliding! Keep an eye on the Facebook event page for the most up to date info. If the weather is bad enough that the event cannot go ahead then you will be notified prior to the event via the email you supply when purchasing a ticket.

What does my ticket include?

All tickets are for a designated 1 hour session and as many slides in that session that you can do. Slider tickets will also give you access to the hot tubs for that designated hour session, space is limited in the hot tubs and terms and conditions apply. Please see Hot tub info below

Can anyone access the Hot tubs?

SLIDE Tickets will give you access to the hot tubs for your hour slide session, spaces are limited so cannot be guaranteed. It is not recommended to spend more than 15 minutes in a tub at a time. Anyone under 15 must be accompanied by an adult. Hot tub rules will be displayed on site and must be adhered to at all times. We reserve the right to close the tubs at any time should this be required.

Can I bring my pet?

Animals will not be allowed on the slide, we can assure you they will not enjoy it as much as you….unless they are flipper the dolphin.

Is parking available?

We are in a town centre location so the normal areas for parking will be available, we recommend NCP on Terrace road (https://www.ncp.co.uk/find-a-car-park/car-parks/bournemouth-terrace-road/) or on Exeter Crescent (https://www.ncp.co.uk/find-a-car-park/car-parks/bournemouth-exeter-crescent/). If you are getting a train or bus then there are plenty of bus stops a 1-minute walk away from the event on Gervis place, or the train station is a 15-minute walk from town.  On street parking will be very limited due to the road closure and some parking suspensions for the event.

I can no longer make it, what should I do?

Tickets are non-refundable however they are transferable. Feel free to gift it to family or friends.
